An initiative of the You Make THE Difference Foundation
Empowering Minds is built with local leaders. Preparation, community engagement, practical training, reinforcement, and continued connection work together as one process.
Empowering Minds is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis, or a service for crisis response.
Need immediate help?
Empowering Minds is not a crisis service. Call or text 988 in the United States for immediate crisis support.
The sequence can be adapted to the community and audience, but the purpose remains consistent: prepare local leadership, build understanding, equip people, reinforce action, and strengthen local ownership.
Confirm the host organization, form a local organizing committee, identify priority audiences, clarify shared objectives, and establish the local relationships needed for meaningful participation.
Use local storytelling, communication that teaches, email, social media, community media, 100 Cups of Coffee, and Boost Squad activity to build understanding and invite participation.
Bring the initiative to life through a locally shaped combination of leadership conversations, workplace or sector sessions, school and youth engagement, community gatherings, and First Identifier training.
Reinforce what people learned through weekly resources, reflection, practical challenges, accountability, and support through the mobile app. Follow up turns a strong day into repeated action.
Support locally led activity, coaching, relationships, partner connections, lighthouse development, and continued learning so the community can build on its own strengths.
The application helps us understand your community, local leadership, objectives, and readiness before recommending a delivery path.
