Ian Hill | Humanitarian, Community Builder, Award-Winning Innovator

Ian Hill believes county fairs and rural communities are not relics of the past—they are the foundation for the future. For more than 30 years, he has worked shoulder-to-shoulder with small towns and ag societies across North America, equipping everyday people to lead transformation and proving that ordinary citizens can accomplish extraordinary things.

A Guinness World Record breaker, award-winning humanitarian, and professional development pioneer, Ian has dedicated his life to building systems that ignite pride and strengthen communities. He has worked with over 2,700 organizations worldwide and launched first-of-their-kind initiatives, including Nevada’s first charter school for at-risk youth, a performing arts high school that redefined how students connected to education, and a $7.2 million community complex for transitional families.

Ian also founded Let Them Be Kids, a grassroots movement that built more than 200 playgrounds and gathering spaces in underserved communities, recognized globally as one of the most innovative social programs in the world.

His personal efforts reflect the boldness he inspires in others. He broke the world record for the longest public speech—51 hours straight—to raise funds for youth in crisis. At 57, he attempted to become the oldest man to play college football, drawing national attention to the alarming suicide rate among middle-aged men in rural communities.

Today, Ian leads You Make THE Difference, a national initiative revitalizing fairs and ag societies—reigniting pride, rebuilding volunteerism, and equipping communities to thrive in the 21st century.
